Well folks, there were some absolute inevitabilities they came along with the Hoka Hey Challenge, and in we’re now seeing those things come to fruition. First off, as many of you may already know, the lead riders have crossed the finish line in Homer, Alaska. Congratulations to these and all the riders who chose to test their limits on this Challenge.
Secondly, Chris Callen has made his way into Canada and reports, “This country is absolutely beautiful.” Chris plans to ride through Western Canada and onto Homer, Alaska, to report on all the happenings at Hoka Hey road’s end. Godspeed, brother Chris!
And last, but far from least, at least from my perspective, my credit card bill has made its way to our mailbox. Did I really buy Chris an Electra Glide Ultra Classic on plastic? I thought that was just a dream. Oh, my head!
No really, folks, my wife and I couldn’t be happier with our decision to put Chris on that scooter. Otherwise, we wouldn’t have this awesome story to tell and all the great memories to share with Chris and Rob when they return. As most riders already know, money is fleeting, but memories, experiences, and the brothers and sisters we make along the way are forever!
More to come…

Ahh the beauty of the land. I was fortunate to have traveled the same route, although in a truck. He is yet to see the beauty.
ReplyDeleteCurt, Thanks for giving Chris the opportunity of a lifetime, I am sure he has treasured every minute of it. The story will be told a thousand times I am sure.
Hey, if you want to see some actually footage from the finish line. Here are a few videos of the first 9 Challengers crossing the line:
